Givenchy, a world renowned haute couture fashion clothing and accessory line, dreamed of holding their first fashion show outside of Paris in a public NYC setting that would be open to the general public. They needed a venue, a plan to engage the public, and guidance to navigate the municipal permitting and oversight to approve an event of this scale.
To bring this grand idea to fruition, the iDEKOgov team formulated a multi-faceted plan for each step of the process: venue search, municipal approvals and permitting, transportation planning and event execution.
iDEKO assisted in securing Pier 26 in Hudson River Park as the venue, and facilitated necessary meetings with the Hudson River Park Trust. In addition, iDEKO quarterbacked coordination with all relevant municipal agencies including the Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management, SAPO, NYPD, FDNY and the local Community Board in an effort to garner municipal support for this complicated plan.
During the height of New York Fashion Week, Givenchy, the French luxury fashion brand, showcased their 2016 Spring/Summer collection in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Givenchy hosted nearly 2,500 VIPs at Pier 26 and staged live video screenings of the show throughout the city. The exclusive after-party was attended by A-listers such as Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Julia Roberts and Uma Thurman. iDEKO was proud to support this incredible moment in fashion history with the internationally acclaimed fashion house – Givenchy.
