Viceroy New York

Case Study

The Challenge

Viceroy Hotels and Resorts, a developer of high-end hotels around the world, decided to enter the New York market by debuting a new luxury sky-rise hotel in midtown Manhattan. The hotel was designed to include restaurants, rooftop lounge, and amenities that required multiple state and local approvals along with sign-offs and permits, in order to begin construction. In addition, all regulatory sign-offs were contingent on satisfactory results from multi-agency inspections, which involved many stakeholders, to ensure the project moved along on schedule, and remained on budget.

The Solution

By creating a project management team with relevant stakeholders, iDEKOgov engaged as an active and leading member of the team, and was instrumental in opening the lines of communication with the appropriate regulatory agencies. Leveraging years of deep expertise and knowledge of understanding city and state requirements, iDEKOgov provided consistent proactive oversight and insight prior to official milestones and inspections, ensuring that all issues detected were properly addressed prior to being exposed to the relevant municipal agencies. The team also acted as a representative of the client throughout agency inspections, client management meetings and community board hearings, managing the entire municipal process across all stakeholders, ensuring the project’s timely and successful completion.
